We have experience conducting symbol testing in person and over the Internet, with both English and non-English-speaking participants from around the world.  We can perform comprehension testing on existing symbols or help to develop new symbols and refine them through testing.

Our experience working with clients and graphic designers to develop and modify symbols can help streamline a challenging and time-consuming process that can involve consideration of multiple standards with different provisions.  For example, the US standard ANSI Z535.3 and the international standards ISO 3864 and ISO 9186 provide guidance for developing and testing symbols, but are not completely harmonized. We can help clients understand the differences between these standards and assist clients in designing a symbol testing program that meets specific needs.
